Timetable & Class Styles
Majority of our Mat Pilates classes are open-level. This means that class sequences are structured in progressive exercise layers that allow beginners through to advanced Pilates students to be in the same class, taking appropriate progressions.
PILATES BEGINNER: A perfect place to start if you’re new to Pilates, or prefer a slower flow. We go through the foundational exercises, and the Pilates method of combining breath, deep core connection and spinal mobilisation.
PILATES: Creative open-level classes. We focus on strengthening our core and stabilising muscles, whilst mobilising the joints and improving bone density. A full body revitalisation. We work with a number of small props, such as hand weights, balls, bands and magic circles to add challenge, support and variety. All attendees should find the class satisfyingly challenging, whilst remaining low-impact.
POWER PILATES: This is a level-up from our open-level classes, perfect for intermediate to advanced movers. We add more resistance to the exercises through weights and props, and explore more advanced exercise progressions + a slightly faster pace.
PILATES CIRCUIT: This class is set up in stations, where you will move through 6-8 exercises in a Circuit, revisiting each station 3-4 times. Through repetition, we have the opportunity to increase our strength output (extra weight) and perfect our form as we take on further progressions. This is a more social class structure and a fun addition to our regular mat classes.
YOGA: Vin Yin is a balanced yoga practice combining dynamic, flowing Vinyasa (Vin) with slow, passive Yin yoga, typically starting with 30 minutes of an energising Vinyasa flow to warm the body and build strength, then transitioning into longer held Yin poses to target deep tissues for flexibility, relaxation, and nervous system balance. All levels welcome!
